Movement

Proper spinal movement is aligned with flexibility and strength.

Proper spinal movement is aligned with flexibility and strength. Having adequate flexibility of tissues around the spine and pelvis allows full normal spinal movement, prevents abnormal force on the joints, and decreases the possibility of injury.

Stretching exercises prepare muscles for activity. Stretching before and after a workout can prevent muscles strain, soreness and help to avoid injuries. Stretching exercises will help improve your flexibility and strengthen muscles.

Strength

Research has shown that people who are physically fit are less likely to have back pain, injuries, and will also recover much faster from injuries than those who are less physically fit.

The abdominal and back muscles help to stabilize the spine allowing proper spinal movement and correct posture. Also, having strong leg and hip muscles allow for proper lifting techniques and body mechanics. Strengthening back and abdominal muscles can help to relieve back pain, provide energy and give a feeling of wellness making daily routine activities much easier.

As always if you are experiencing back pain be sure to check with your chiropractor before starting an exercise routine.

Spine Success

Throughout our lives we come across pain that in some way is directed from our spine.

Our spine is the central core of our nervous system and these nerve fibers control the movements in our body. Our muscles and bones need these nerve fibers to work properly, so that our posture, movement, strength, and balance are working properly as well.

Staying active in our lives is a key importance to maintaining spine success. When lack of activity is present your body will lose the energy needed to control the human body. Keeping active maintains and increases this ability to work properly. Not only will you become physically injured by lack of being active, but also your mental focus in life decreases. You will become unproductive and fall into a downward state of losing energy. Eventually this will cause major problems with your body and physical exhaustion occurs regularly throughout your life.

Posture and Balance

Spinal balance and correct posture are two very important elements to abundant energy.

Spinal balance and correct posture are two very important elements to abundant energy. Good posture should be a relaxed, comfortable and balanced state providing you with stability, poise, and energy.

Good posture is when your head is balanced over your hips, your chin is parallel to the floor, and your pelvis is level. You walk with vigor and your step feels light. Good posture is a very important part of good mental and physical health.

Dr. Hogan and his team come highly recommended. This staff is professional, friendly, and highly effective in their pursuit to maintain your overall health and alignment. I started visiting the office about 4 years ago while suffering from a pain in my shoulder. Thanks to Dr. Hogan, I am pain-free, and feeling 100%. I still visit Dr. Hogan to receive routine maintenance care. I also benefit from an occasional visit to the on-site massage therapist....and the amazing chair in the waiting area! The office is warm and comfortable. I trust Dr. Hogan and have recommended his services to many friends and family. I know he will exceed your expectations.

Love going here. They don't waste your time with long waits like a standard doctors office. The atmosphere is very comfortable and friendly. The care is thorough and effective. I bring my kids here and wouldn't do without it!

Outside the hustle and bustle of Seattle, they are very polite and helpful - especially with long commuter bus schedules! I hurt my back and had to go in to get a masage asap - saved me and I was able to get back to life right away. Thanks much Gang!

This place is one of a kind. Not only do I enjoy going here, but I look forward to it. I am greeted with a smile by Angie (most friendly person ever) at the front desk every time, with a "hello Jake!" Talk about feeling special. Dr. Hogan is also one of a kind. Every visit he is focused on me, and not getting through me and on to the next patient. He remembers everything about our previous conversations, such as golf or weekend plans, and then follows up on those talks the next visit. After my adjustment I get to go and get a massage from Mel. She is great too! She is always positive and friendly. I enjoy our recipe swapping too.

As far as treatment goes, I was in a car accident a couple months ago, and barely able to go about my everyday activities without pain, not to mention cutting cycling and golf out of my life totally. I am now almost pain free. My everyday life is no longer restricted, I am able to golf, cycle, and more recently have taken on tennis. I feel great! Thank you Ballinger Village Chiropractic (Doc, Angie, and Mel).
